Jaz began her career at Shopify and has spent over a decade designing in ecommerce. As both a designer and former merchant, she brings a rare blend of platform expertise and founder empathy, knowing firsthand what it takes to create a memorable brand.

After growing her own brand Yellow Beauty into retailers like Anthropologie and Urban Outfiters, she returned to design, leading Shopify builds for brands like Everlane, The Skinny Confidential, Halfdays, and Salud.

She’s usually booking her next trip while still on one. She finds joy in a good fantasy novel, beautiful interiors, and being in nature – and never skips a morning walk with Jamil.

Jamil Bhuya

With over a decade of experience building and scaling his own brands, Jamil brings a founder’s mindset to growth. He drives sales and partnerships, helping ambitious ecommerce brands find the right path to scale.

Before Otherhalf, Jamil founded and exited Burgers n’ Fries Forever (BFF) as a multi-million dollar chain and co-founded Yellow Beauty, growing it from a $1,000 investment into a brand with major retail partnerships.

Jamil takes his restaurant research as seriously as booking his next travel destination. A natural host and born explorer, he's happiest around a table with friends or on a new adventure with Jaz.

Amber Warren

With 15 years of design experience, seven focused on ecommerce, Amber pairs strategic thinking with playful precision. She brings energy and intention to every digital experience, with a genuine love for the small details.

Her work includes brands like Cha Cha Matcha, Juneshine, Corkcicle, Rare Beauty, and POV Beauty, with a focus on strategic Shopify experiences built to convert.

A maker at heart, she’s often crafting or drawing on her iPad. She finds inspiration in coffee shops, good books, and travel, staying creatively curious in and out of work.

With seven years of experience spanning both agency and in-house, Donna brings a user-first approach to design, balancing aesthetics with function to create experiences that are as intuitive as they are visually compelling.

She has worked with a range of clients, from fintech brands like Mogo to environmentally forward organizations like the Centre for Climate Change Management, across both print and digital, with a hands-on practice that extends to illustration.

Donna gets her best ideas somewhere between a long run and a distant timezone. She travels whenever she can, and rarely needs much convincing to go further.

Marina is a multidisciplinary, brand designer with over eight  years of experience. Her work spans a wide range of industries,  bringing creativity, consistency, and scalable design systems to growing brands.

Marina’s worked on an array of projects across small-to-mid sized brands. Her favourite work includes Yellow Beauty and Burgers n’ Fries Forever, alongside other Toronto-based businesses like Soul Chocolate and Tom&Sawyer.

Now based in Lisbon, she spends her free time exploring with her dog Momo, hopping between cities and coffee shops, and building her vinyl collection.

Over the years, Sam has worked with brands like DUDE Wipes, Lemme, WWF, snif, and more. She's driven by a belief that great digital experiences should be both beautiful and effective.

Away from the screen, Sam is a potter, hockey player, and explorer with a soft spot for animals. She brings the same curiosity and hands-on energy to her hobbies as she does to her work.
